New firmware: 9.1.1802.613

I've received 9.1.1802.613 during the night.  I'm wondering if anybody else has received it too? If so what is new or different?

See this thread

I suspect it's bug fixes around the "intelligent" wifi ,,,,,,,,

Disappointing to see that they didn't even bother to fix the basics, such as the upstream power being showed incorrectly. It makes you wonder what else is wrong and gone unfixed.

Whilst upstream power being shifted one to the left is annoying it's not an issue affecting the quality of the services the Hub provides. They likely prioritise actual issues over display issues in a status section that will never be touched by the majority of customers.

I take your point onboard, but should that mean we should just dismiss any minor bugs simply because the majority of users won't see them?

Re: New firmware: 9.1.1802.613

Assuming that the team that handles the firmware uses issue trackers then bugs will likely be dealt with based on their impact and severity, so in this specific instance where it's wifi bugs that affect the day to day performance for thousands of customers then the impact of that is quite high compared to the upstream bug which only affects how it's output in the status page.

The bug will get fixed, it's just shelved whilst the bugs with real world impact get priority.

I love your optimism Cheese.  Have you been on any trials for Hubs ?  I'm not sure if bug fixes are handled quite that way   🙂
