Multiplayer connection problems Xbox one S insider build - latest. 20th April 2020 @ 09:10.

When testing my connection to xbox network I receive "multiplayer connection problem". I also have slow connection to download online games and apps.

So far I have completed the following:-

  1. Reset xbox, and updated to latest insider build. Note no saving of xbox settings - complete factory reset.
  2. It's a wired connection, using Virginmedia supplied CAT6 ethernet cable, no kinks or known issues.
  3. NAT test shows, open on xbox.
  4. Speed test from xbox settings 512mbps down and 40mbps up.
  5. Speed test from speedtest.net, non virginmedia server - 360mbps down, 34mbps up. Give or take on both.
  6. Reset virginmedia hub3 to factory default.
  7. Tested again, still same problems.
  8. Ran virginmedia line tests - fine, and area fine.

I have a paid, and upto date, xbox subscription + free games add on.

Hi,

If the issue is only on Xbox it could well be an issue on Microsoft's end. I don't have an Xbox myself so not entirely sure what to suggest other than to perhaps have a look through this thread and the responses from @Aaron2. Give some of the things he suggests a try and see how it goes.

Thanks
Harry
