Latency spikes are unbearable

VikingBeserker
Tuning in

I've been experiencing latency spikes for well over a month now, was trying to ride it out but it's getting more frequent, i play a lot of online games and they are virtually unplayable now well competitively anyway, I've been through all the other stuff to check off for the reason, any help would be great. On Warzone/MW MP it'll jump up to 999ms latency multiple times per match

Thanks for your post on our Community Forums @VikingBeserker, and I'm sorry to hear of the issues on the connection you're experiencing.

I've been able to run a flow on your connection and can confirm that our diagnostics on your home network and Hub have not found any issues that could account for connection drop-outs.

This means that the issues are most likely due to the equipment being used in the home.

All of the available checks have been performed on our network, however, you can also view the Service Status in your area

Additionally, it is beneficial to reboot both your Hub and devices occasionally to help maintain a healthy network connection.

Kindest regards,

David_Bn

Can you confirm what I'd need to check? Because I've been through everything I could google, and nothing has worked, last night I was getting 19ms ping but still huge latency, my cpu and gpu aren't being heavily used, my drivers are up to date, as far as I can tell my pc is running about as good as possible

Post your power levels and network log please. Your BQM looks fine with the odd spike. Are you wired or WiFi connected?

Network log is blank and i'm on a wired connection

trust me you aren't the only one, i actually can't game atm because of spikes. virgin have never been great at delivering a constant connection, i'd try get used to it i give up with this company

pingping

What do you use to log it? I've been using thinkbroadband, but that graph looks a lot clearer

https://ping.canbeuseful.com/en#ping

its very simple, they just keep pinging exactly the same as think broadband, just the timescale for thinkbroadband is a lot larger
