Latency and Ping (again!)

Ok, so I've been called here from someone on twitter who's told me to do a BQM which I've done for the last 5 days....

I'm sick of playing Warzone and the constant lag is beyond a joke now. Upload and download speeds are great, I love them but the latency is an absolute p*ss take (pardon my French)... No point ringing customer service because everyone is outsourced and hardly even speaks English.

Here's my BQM's for the last few days...

Today 11/01/21

Yesterday 10/01/21

Day Before 09/01/21

Day Before That 08/01/21

The First Day I started testing 07/01/21

Day before even that.png

Now I'm no expert here but them graphs clearly show certain times of the day are absolutely dreadful for ping and latency, my best guess is because of clear over-subscription and usage in the area (would I be right with that?)

Latest network logs here too

I'm at he end of my tether now, my biggest passion is gaming online with my friends and it's basically just making impossible to do so.

For reference I'm on 350mbs service, paying over £80 a month!! This is TOTALLY unacceptable for that money.

What are my options guys? Someone from Virgin please give me some insight into this, it's beyond a joke now.

Yes, those BQM's look typical of oversubscription.

As for options, not a lot.  Wait it out until the area is upgraded or leave.

VM may send a Hub 4 to help as it can bond more channels than a Hub 3, but that's a long shot and may not help at all.

In the meantime, post all your power levels for comment.

Re: Latency and Ping (again!)

My BQM is exactly like these. Would a new router with the Hub3 in modem mode resolve this issue does anyone know ?

Re: Latency and Ping (again!)

@BlackMonk30Best to start your own thread as it's difficult to conduct multiple conversations in one thread. But as a quick answer, buying your own router won't help if you are on an over utilised segment, the problem is one of network capacity, and nothing to do with the performance of the hub.

Re: Latency and Ping (again!)

Is there anything I can do to see if and when my area is being upgraded?

From my understanding, DOCSIS3.1 would help my issue? Right now I'm running DOCSIS3 according to my router.
