Latency + Packet Loss Issues

Hi,

Been experiencing high latency and awful spikes which is making games almost unplayable.

Here's my BQM where you can see the issues:

Seen other people asked for these so hope they're useful!

Re: Latency + Packet Loss Issues

Login into the SH3 and post the Software version of your device.

Also run a Puma 6 Test, just google it, and post the results. To much red is not good.

I myself game in Modem mode with my own router, with very little issues.

Red (VM SH2 AC Beta tester)
Running on 350Mb VM service with SH3 in Modem Mode, with a ASUS RT-AC5300 router. With this setup I get Fantastic WIRED and WIRELESS Signals in my home. I dont work for VM. But I work in IT, and I know my tech.
My advice is at your own risk. If you are happy with my answers please press Kudo ?

Re: Latency + Packet Loss Issues

MAYBE WE COULD ALL START POSTING TO THE ONE THREAD .... come on people post some of your nightmare BroadbandQuality graphs on this thread and hopefully raise the profile of Lag and Packet-Loss for gamers as an issue with the current virgin service.

The current service is impractical for playing multiplayer FPS games ...

Read'em and weep ...

Re: Latency + Packet Loss Issues

Mine is fine. Modem mode is the way to game on VM.

Re: Latency + Packet Loss Issues

I also run in modem mode on SuperHub1 ... however I've tested in both modem and router ... issue of lag and packet loss that I see are unaffected by the modem mode.

Re: Latency + Packet Loss Issues

Every single new thread being made here is reporting the exact same problem where latency will be stupidly high all day apart from between 2 and 8 am at night. Heres my BQM with obvious issues
https://www.thinkbroadband.com/broadband/monitoring/quality/share/de5188ac875b309116d0df75fc2690bb0a...
All I want from Virgin is for them to admit they have a problem with infrastructure and give us an honest ETA on the fix, instead of blaming our installations, devices and applications.
