Even when I try my hub3 in modem mode it doesn't help the problem and I always have my ethernet cable in.
I've setup a BQM (since the 9th April 2021, data here from 16th to 20th) and given the information from my router (BQM below, router info coming next message)
The game in question is Super Smash Brothers Melee played through slippi.gg, which is modestly graphically intensive but I have the 200Mbps DL and 20Mbps UL speeds which is more than enough and I play with only slippi running.
1. Virgins network by its very design means that you share bandwidth with those in your area, thats why the problem pops up in the first place. I'm not 100% but I dont know of any other docsis network in uk. So literally anyone else would have better latency. It depends on who is available in your area.
2. If you really persist here they may offer you a way out without fees, just to shut you up.

Sorry to hear that you have been having connection issues with your broadband. I have been running some remote diagnostics which has confirmed some errors with your connection. I have set up an engineer’s visit for you which you will be able to view from your online account here.
