Lag, jutter, been like it for over a year, im on 350mb

It's always the same, From noon to midnight my internet is unstable as hell and online gaming is awful, then soon as midnight hits games suddenly feel so much better.

Go to 192.168.0.1 in your browser, or 192.168.100.1 if in modem mode

 

Do NOT LOG IN

Post your upstream, downstream and network metrics from your HUB.

Screen captures are nice, C&P will do though.

 

Someone will get a look for you.

 

DOubt its going to show us much as your BQM is fine for the times you have stated.....

How are you connecting to the HUB? Wired? Wireless? Is anyone else using the connection at those times?

How are you connecting to the HUB? - Wired

Is anyone else using the connection at those times? - My partner watches netflix but at all times including past midnight

Hi, i'd just like to say that i'm experiencing a similar issue here and will post stuff what's helping me diagnose.

-Similar network log etc

I recommend you to download pingplotter from https://www.pingplotter.com/

This program will give you further diagnostic results to pinpoint the cause. Which if i'm correct this is a router configuration issue or fault.

Heres my ping plotter hitting packet loss on router. 

I also recommend thinkbroadband.com provides you with a 24hr packet loss tracker. 

Also http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest great for testing jitter/bufferbloat for gaming.

Gives you a better idea of the location of the cause if the issue is external or internal.

It really doesnt.

If you post a clear BQM, which OP has, and a set of power levels in spec.....

@longstaff5  can you run a tracert to a server you are using when its not great?

Hi Longstaff5,

thanks for using the forums to get this issue with your internet looked into, I am sorry its being a paid at the moment. 

If you could please have a look on this link for me first - Service Status - and let me know if it comes up with any area outages please.

Also, when the HUB goes slow, do any indicator lights come on the front of the HUB?

Lastly, I would like you to do a BMQ test over the next 24 hours, here's a link - BMQ - Once its done a graph of activity over the 24 hours please post a screenshot on here so we can see what it has picked up.

Thank you for that information. I have taken a look on our side and it does as though a engineer may be required. 

 

What I will do is private message you so I can look into this.
