Just how bad is Virgin Broadband why is 100mbs not capable of 120kbs? is it ROBBERY!!!!

Below is a table showing max data transmission for iracing a fully scanned racing simulation, where tracks & cars are 3d scanned, modelled and people race against each other world wide, as you can clearly see max download amount less than 0.5mbs max upload amount less than 0.2mbs so if I use nothing else and a promised band width of 100mbs how is it not sufficient to allow even 0.12mbs up& down.

Now this simulation models real world track & cars that have been 3d scanned and modelled with 60 cars plus at any time racing each other at speeds up to 200mph inches apart, the data needed 0-12mbs but I pay for 100mbs surely thats enough? No & only VM are unable to do this while EE, BT, Talk Talk etc have no problem at as low 2-3.5mbs down & 1mbs up.

How can this be are VM having a laugh 100mbs but not even 0.12mbs of useable bandwidth is available, I am being supplied with less than 1/833rd of what I was sold and pay for, I know a top youtube streamer with a poor 10mbs down & 1Mbs up connection that manages to not only connect without problems but streams 720p @ 30-60fps. (He's obviously not a VM customer)

Connection Type                                            Down (Kbps)                              Up (Kbps)
DSL, Cable, Fiber, 128K or faster (IPv4)          113.56                                       119.00
DSL, Cable, Fiber, 256K or faster (IPv4)          146.20                                       119.00
DSL, Cable, Fiber, 512K or faster (IPv4)          173.40                                       119.00
DSL, Cable, Fiber, 768K or faster (IPv4)          309.40                                       151.64
DSL, Cable, Fiber, 1Mbit/sec or faster (IPv4)    483.48                                      195.16

That racing simulator passes more data than almost any game I have tested certainly more than any console title I know of so it is not rocket science if I and all of you cannot get a steady 0.11356mbs down or a 0.119mbs up then how can VM claim to provide 100mbs when less than 0.12mbs is useable.

Surely this is fraud and deception on a huge scale and undoubtedly a product unfit for purpose, now a ping of 300 - 350ms is enough to race without problem on a server in Australia with a dozen friends. 100-150ms is regularly used to race against 40-60 friends on a US server, 26-30ms usually racing on an Amsterdam server with up to 60 friends.

So you can see PING is a red herring that those who mislead you spout and babble on about because they think they sound clever, (Guess what?) never mind I only need to be supplied with 1/833rd of what I pay for to be able to use what I pay for instead I receive less than 1/833rd or 0.12% of what I pay for and get to use nothing and likely you do to if you are reading this post.

Hi.

I'm not sure what data that table is measuring. Could you go to www.fast.com and tell me the results from there please?

I am not interested in watching Netflix thanks that table is the connection speeds I need to work and race all I need 0.12mbs each way without 30-40% packet loss because VM a crooks, a million MBS are no good if connection so poor and so much noise on the line you cannot even us the amount I could get with 128kb ASDL.

100MBS VM scam as my useable bandwitdth lower than it was over a decade ago on ASDL.

Snip20200421_1.pngHere is a speed test with Netflix all the way in Wellingborough 12 miles away at fast.com my 100 up and 10 down with virgin running at 4.3 up 0.79 down at end of an engineers visit to tell me that what I had told them was correct and utilisation to high in area so in a day or two we may get more resources while the problem gets pushed pushed onto the next area.

Still unable to use even 120kbs/120kbs of 100mbs/10mbs  the fastest waste of time ISP in the UK, 3 weeks loss of earnings plus loss of a complete season & VM still taking money for nothing, it is definitely robbery!

Definitely looks like a fault in your area as my results are spot on https://www.thinkbroadband.com/_assets/speedtest/button/1588153702516673955.png

As for "loss of earnings" yeah that isn't covered on a residential connection, if you need that you need a business line with some sort of guarantee for that, which is going to cost you more, on and for reference i live in wellingborough, so its a fairly local issue and not something widespread

Assistance would be welcomed if anyone has a good connecction at Openreach, I have many friends in same situation across UK all of whom are VM victims and need same assistance strange how none of other ISPs seem affected even Talk Talk 3mbs has no problem with 8 x 120kbs connections.
