Have been having trouble with with my upload speed dropping randomly whilst streaming for about 2 weeks.
Upload speed us usually 10-20 Mbps but will drop to 2-5 Mbps for approximately 2-5 minutes. This happens roughly every 30 minutes but is intermittent and can happen after 10 minutes. When this happens it completely lags out my stream. As a full time streamer this is causing serious anxiety.
I had a VM engineer here about 5 days ago who thought it was the uplink speed and installed a booster. This didn't resolve the problem.
The engineer did not check the exterior box where the cable comes into the house. Which I have since checked and it looks like the gardener (who came about 2 weeks ago) has hit the box whilst working as it was laying on the ground with the cable hanging out. I checked the cable and it looks okay. The connection was still tight so I put the brown box back on as best I could.
My question is, could this damaged box/cable cause random upload drops?
