Huge lag spikes

I have recently started to encounter huge lag spikes every 20-30 seconds what playing online games on PlayStation 4 (wireless connection as wired is not possible) I have tried resetting the hub, turning it off and on etc. Also used the automated call service which ran a check and detected a problem and said it will then fix the issue. However, this has not worked, this is the first issue I’ve had with VM that has not been resolved within a couple of hours. There are no reported problems in the area when I have checked online. Do we need an engineer to come out or is there another way to sort this, thanks.

Re: Huge lag spikes

Have you actually managed to speak to anybody? If so, what did they say? What area are you based, not sure if it’s an area issue or more widespread

Re: Huge lag spikes

Hopefully the issue is sorted once the lockdown is over, a lot of people on other threads are suggesting high traffic is the problem

As per other threads on here you need to provide some information so we can help you.

Could you access your router using http://192.168.0.1/ or http://192.168.100.1 for modem mode . You shouldn't need log in, select the 'Check Router Status' option and paste your 'Downstream', 'Upstream', and 'Network Log' tabs? Please copy/paste this data as text, split between multiple posts (Sometimes you have to click 'Post' twice due to an error message).

Could you please create a BQM (Broadband Quality Monitor) here, and post the live link?
