How to increase upload speeds

Hi

looking for advice on how to increase upload speeds ready for streaming. Presently have 280-360mbps download and 6-7mbps upload. Connected to hub via Ethernet. Ideally want a balance of 100+ download and 25-60 upload. Any advice on how to achieve this please?

thank you from a novice!

Re: How to increase upload speeds

from your downlosd figures you are on the 350 package - your upload should be 36 ish so something is wrong

log into hub3 - 192.168.0.1 [or 192.168.100.1 if in modem mode] - DON'T SIGN IN, click - click router status [centre of screen] - and post the downstream and upstream figures - to see those press on the grey buttons/boxes labelled - upstream - downstream

if its an earlier hub button is top right

Re: How to increase upload speeds

Only way to get more upload speed, is to upgrade package to either M500/600 which have 36Mbps upload or upgrade to Gig1 which has 50Mbps upload.

EDIT: But as tony said you should have at least 36Mbps upload.

Re: How to increase upload speeds

Like others have said, you don't get to choose your upload speed, it's based on your broadband package.

For what it's worth, we're on the 200/20 service and I can Twitch stream fine at higher quality. However, unlike your reported upload speed, our service achieves its full speed (SH2 modem mode and Asus RT-AC86U router). So, I would start by getting VM to look into your low upload speed before anything else.
