Since yesterday I'm unable to play xbox because my speed/ping keeps going high. I'm normally between 20-30 but now it's 20-100+.
I have two xbox's hardwired in the house upstairs and we both keep getting high ping all of a sudden. I have taken the hardwire out but the connection is worse with 50+ ping and 99 strength signal to router.
I have reset the router/unplugged everything and checked if connections are tight. Still nothing is working right.
For a ages we have struggled to get strong signal downstairs using WiFi on our phones and TV also.
I currently have no pc to alter the settings only have mobile phone.
Have you tried running a wifi scanner on your property? There are several on the Play Store, and for iOS use Airport Utility.
You could also split the Wifi SSID as below;
• Access your Hub by navigating to 192.168.0.1 • Login with the default login info (on base of Hub) unless you've already updated it. • Go to Advanced Settings > Wireless > Security • Under Wireless Frequency 2.4GHz change the Wifi Network Name (SSID), suggest append _2 to the end. • Repeat for the Wireless Frequency 5GHz, suggest append _5 to the end and click on Apply changes • Try to avoid spaces and periods in the SSID names as they can cause issues with certain devices.
