HI James178, I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with the service, we can see that there is a fault in the area regarding congestion, the fault number is F007429331   and we are working hard to fix this - Chris

Re: High ping and Latency, Ipswich IP2 9UA

ive just joined ghost gaming broadband and so far i am impressed, customer service is good so far, connection seems on point with 8ms ping, no line jitter, slower download speed but would rather have a consistant connection, the router they supply is a TP link VR400 which isnt bad! I took a risk and its paid off, im only getting 40mbps down and 10up but it feels better than virgin ever did

Re: High ping and Latency, Ipswich IP2 9UA

A lot better than virgins they supply a tp link vr400 which is pretty good to be fair. Best isp by far still have virgin currently until 30 days is up but even when switching to virgin gaming is unplayable still.

I would recommend ghost gamer broadband 100% customer service is brilliant so is the connection i hadnt heard of them before i see you mention them so thank you for making my gaming better haha

Re: High ping and Latency, Ipswich IP2 9UA

Riece no worries mate. I was playing warzone last night and my ping was all over the place, I also had a bit of packet loss. I was sitting on about 50 Latency and this was about half 11 but going up and down like anything while my mate who lives in town and is with BT was sitting on 19 latency stable...crazzzy! I'm not in any contract with virgin media so I can just bounce when I want. Today is the day when apparently the work around my area is meant to be done but the ping still isn't stable.

Now you have made the move and it paid off I'm going to follow! I don't mind waiting a little longer for things to download

cheers

James

Re: High ping and Latency, Ipswich IP2 9UA

warzones a bit of a funny one but with virgin mine was constantly stuttering since february, with ghost its smooth as and im actually killing the other players when they shoot first now aswell, losing 350mbps and 30mbps upload is a big change but so fsr ghost seems to be handling 2 firesticks 2 mobiles, games console and pc at the same time. Plus on the router settings you can set a qos to pick which gets priority

Re: High ping and Latency, Ipswich IP2 9UA

Ive been virgin for years with no issue but it seems as if they have given up looking after their own network. But now ive left im being bombarded with calls from virgin! Must say im glad you mentioned ghost broadband was easy set up and im getting solid speeds and they dont change either its great, my ping dropped yesterday and now at 7ms
