High latency

Hi all,

I've been on the 50Mbps virgin for a few years and rarely had issues. Upgraded to the 200Mbps which required a bit of wiring and TV installation. Since then my ping has been around 50-70ms average when playing online games (in-game ping display). Not to mention lag spikes up to 200ms that result in unplayable or me being kicked from servers.

I'm wondering if there has been some noise introduced with the rewire or if something is loose as this makes no sense. Same router as before and I'm hardwired in.

Speedcheck.net shows 180-210Mbps, 15-20ms ping and 20Mb upload.

Ping test shows 0% packet loss. Average 49ms and maximum 232ms

Re: High latency

If SH3, do a PUMA 6 test and post results here

Red (VM SH2 AC Beta tester)
Running on 1Gbps VM service with SH4 in Modem Mode, with a ASUS RT-AC5300 router. With this setup I get Fantastic WIRED and WIRELESS Signals in my home. I dont work for VM. But I work in IT, and I know my tech.
My advice is at your own risk. If you are happy with my answers please press Kudo ?
