Re: High latency spikes and packet loss

Hello

I believe you have a noisy line, go around and check that all coaxial connections to all the VM equipment are finger tight, if that doesn't resolve the issue then you will need an engineer to look further, either call in on 150 or wait for a VM staff member to pick up the post.

Re: High latency spikes and packet loss

I have just checked the coax cable from the box in the house to the vm hub, all are finger tight.

What does noise on the line mean?

And the coax cable is pretty stiff. Is this normal? It doesnt bend much.

Re: High latency spikes and packet loss

Hello

Noise on the line just as it says there is something somewhere introducing noise on the line, could be any from your connection to box at end of road, even neighbors can introduce noise as well with un-terminated connections. Can be difficult to track down. The cable is pretty stiff as it triple shielded.

You going to wait until as VM staff member picks up the post, as you will need an engineer.
