Had enough

Complained of my issue for nearly 2 weeks now. Everyone has advised I have an issue yet no ones offered to help (forum guys have been great) Online message service is a joke, pointless exchanging DM’s on here as I have not had a reply for 3 days. Ring virgin who’s automated service tells me my router needs resetting the hangs up.

how my meant to get this issue resolved, fed up now. Been with Virgin less than 4 months and had nothing but faults issues and wrong bills.

Virgin are quick to take my money, just as quick to offer me, upgrade but can’t or won’t fix my issue.

i have done everything asked of me, was told my power levels were out of sync and blamed the cabinet supplying my area. This was reported as fixed but I’m still affected. I know there is an issue because my online multiplayer experience was far better until i upgrade my speed. It wasn’t great but was manageable. NoW it is literary unplayable.
Please can one of the virgin staff look into this.

Re: Had enough

Still getting random packets loss when checking the ping on the router. Also pinging virgin seems to have high latency! When checked yesterday I wasn’t getting packet loss but today my gaming connection is unplayable

PING Google.com (216.58.204.14): 64 data bytes

72 bytes from 216.58.204.14: seq=0 ttl=117 time=20.000 ms

72 bytes from 216.58.204.14: seq=1 ttl=117 time=10.000 ms

--- Google.com ping statistics ---

3 packets transmitted, 2 packets received, 33% packet loss

round-trip min/avg/max = 10.000/15.000/20.000 ms

PING Virgin.com (54.247.120.7): 64 data bytes

72 bytes from 54.247.120.7: seq=0 ttl=34 time=90.000 ms

72 bytes from 54.247.120.7: seq=1 ttl=34 time=20.000 ms

--- Virgin.com ping statistics ---

3 packets transmitted, 2 packets received, 33% packet loss

round-trip min/avg/max = 20.000/55.000/90.000 ms

Re: Had enough

Sorry to hijack your thread when I'm not offering help but..

My lad is currently complaining of the same issue for the past 48 hours. How did you test the speed of your connection?

Re: Had enough

Speed or ping?

speed, downloaded an app called speedtest.net windows and iPhone (don’t know about android but imaging you can get it)

ping, log onto router and find tools. To check ping type in a website address or IP address

Re: Had enough

Thanks very much. Hope you get your problem sorted. Just been reading another post which mentions BQM software so I have just signed up for an account.
