Gaming packet loss and ping spikes

Hi guys! For about 4 Weeks now I’m getting packet loss and ping spikes up to 200 ms ping and is really unplayable. It never used to do this and I was happy with my speeds and service Virgin was giving me. Now all o do is lag. I’m getting 5ms ping and 50 down and 5 up on the tests. As soon as I go into a game, boom I’m on 30 ms ping and goes up and down the whole game to 150ms ping. Please help! I’ve heard having a new box can sort this? I’ve changed channels I’ve reset the hub I’ve tried everything please help!
