hi i've been having trouble lagging, before i was using wifi but it was really bad so turned to wired net now. since then it's been better but still getting button delays and lag. i've looked on the EA forum and done trouble shooting by opening ports and stuff and done an uotrace, which have some intresting results. for some reason you are sending the ping to the united states server us-nyc01b-rd2-ae9-0.aorta.net 188.8.131.52, which then starts giving high ping and even the ea mod has said that trace has high ping which is getting high before it even reach's there servers. i've done some research and the aorta server is part of virginmedia so i'm wondering what you can do to sort this out? i'll post trace results below so you can see.
oops forgot to say i talked to some advisor over the net chat and they did checks and stuff and saifd my net was fine but i don't think they had a clue about ip trace. all they said was do a speed test and that was fine so it's not virgins fault but the service i'm trying to get meaning EA's but it's not it's virgins for 2 points 1. sending me to a us server. 2 the us server it sends me too is part of virginmedia and is giving high pings which is making me lagg.
yes maybe ea servers are having some problems, but for me my trace route is telling me the problem i get is before it hits the ea servers, and when the problem starts is at hop 8-9 and them servers are part of the virginmedia group. i've been on the phone to someone and they did tests and said nothing wrong at my end and when i mentioned it he said i understand but all though they are part of virgin it's not classed as there problem. surely that can't be true, i've done a trace route on a family members virgen net and get same results and same servers give high ping, then did trace route on sky network and they have very different results. so basicaly in my mind it's virgins fault for sending my ping to those servers as they pay them. i've got some more data if needed from the trace route on pingplotter pro if you need me to post some more data. could do with a reply from virgin tec soon as this is none stop bad net.
