Hi, my girlfriend and I are baffled by each of our Xbox’s download speeds. My series X which is slightly closer to the door gets speeds of ~200mb which is decent enough for 500mb contract. However, my old one x that she is using barely reaches 100mb down and her PC is even worse. I recently started paying extra for the wifi pod and that seems to make speeds go down? I’m really confused and not very technical with wifi so have no idea why it’s so different if they’re both in the same room. I also get random lag spikes when playing games sometimes but know this can be normal. Sometimes she even has to use mobile data on her phone in the house as it provides a better connection than the wifi, but there are apparently no black spots in the house

Hey lewis1999, thank you for reaching out and I am sorry you are having some connection issues.
Please can you just confirm if you just using WIFI or is it cable to?
If this is WIFI due to the nature of it it will fluctuate, also due to age of the devices this can affect speeds for example a newer version has better WIFI technology built inside then an older model.
I have also taken a look at our side and I cannot see any issues at all however I would recommend giving this router a reset. Thanks

Get an unmanaged switch and cable both xbox's to the switch. Use a decent powerline adapter between the switch and the Hub, and forget about the wifi.
Better still, run a cable directly from the switch to the Hub. Gaming is really better with a wired connection. 🙂
