Continued Network Issues - Virgin media

For the last 10 weeks my online connection provided by virgin media has been below poor.

I have the M500 fibre connection, You literally cant play online for longer than 10 minutes without lagging everywhere. I even purchased a new Xbox one x to test to see if it makes a difference. Definitely made no difference - 

Anyone from VM team on here that can get an engineer to visit my area to sort the fault? obviously a fault in the area....

Wired or Wifi ??

If Wifi 2.4GHz or 5GHz ??

Is your SH in Router or Modem mode ??

Running on 350Mb VM service with SH3 in Modem Mode, with a ASUS RT-AC5300 router. With this setup I get Fantastic WIRED and WIRELESS Signals in my home. I dont work for VM. But I work in IT, and I know my tech.

Wired connection - only for xbox one x.

 

Is your SH in Router or Modem mode ?? Not sure how would i find out? What is it mean to be in?

That says to me your in Router mode.

Modem mode means you have your SH working at as a modem, then you connect a router to it.

IMHO the SH and i mean any version of it, is useless for gaming in Router mode. Its just not good enough.

 

I run in modem mode, and NEVER had a problem with ONLINE gaming on a PC / PS4 / Xbox. Dont get LAG or disconnections.

Even when all 3 are online at the same time. This works for me, cant say it works for everyone.

Okay so if i want to try that mode? Modem mode, can you tell me how to change?
