Constant Random Disconnects from World of Warcraft

Switched to Virgin yesterday from BT and from the start i am getting disconnects from the game (circa every 5-10 mins).

I have read some the of the other post and i saw mention of runnning a Broadband Quality Monitor. which i have done so far and the link for this is below.

Re: Constant Random Disconnects from World of Warcraft

As an update, its now 8pm and the issue has gotten worse...... i can't even do anything in game. getting MS upto 2000 sometime and others it shows my ms as fine but nothing is loading in game suggesting a dropout.

My live data capture is almost at 24 hours now so some feedback would be appreciated.

Same issue here. Unplayable. I'm actually embarrassed for VM for how frequently there are issues like this.

Re: Constant Random Disconnects from World of Warcraft

No disconnects here, but INCREDIBLY high ping in the evenings. At time of typing this, currently sat at close to 300 home/world latency. When playing League of Legends my resting ping is 32 but I spend the majority of the game spiking between 80-160, completely unplayable for me too. At the end of my tether, what I thought was originally a LoL problem, then a WoW problem, only to discover and realise that I should of just assumed it was the terrible service from VM instead. I feel your pain through and through.

Re: Constant Random Disconnects from World of Warcraft

Well still having issues....

Online chat i waited ages for support - no answer
Call the phone number, go through the options, this directs you to the website for further help.... then hangs up on you....

luckily i have only just got the service so i am now looking to cancel, which in itself is a nightmare....

https://www.virginmedia.com/shop/contactus/thinking-of-leaving - this webpage directs you to this one. ...

which then directs you back to the first one https://www.virginmedia.com/shop/contactus/thinking-of-leaving

so its impossible to cancel online, call them up maybe..... on hold forever and had to hang up myself.

I am now at the complaint stage and this isn't a complaint about the service, things happen not everything can be perfect, the complaint is simply that i can't get hold of anyone to help resolve the issue.

Re: Constant Random Disconnects from World of Warcraft

Update.

Given the lack of support and the poor customer service (read non existent) i just can't risk going beyond my cooling off period and therefore i have cancelled my package and gone back to my old ISP.

To add insult to injury, it took being on hold for 1 hour and 30 mins to finally be able to cancel it.

Good luck to the others and for those still in their cooling off period i would recommend at minimum you ask it to be extended should you have faith that they will fix this issue.
