Can't play online on Steam

I've had this issue since getting VM.

When I try connect to online games over Steam I can never connect to a server and my internet will drop out until I turn the game off.

I've tried every setting I can think of, done factory resets and still nothing. I never had this issue with my last provider.

I also tried using my phone hot spot to see if it was an issue with my equipment and it connected first time so unsure whether it's the VM internet or the Hub 4.

test hub in modem mode if that works then look at getting a new router with 1Gb ports to connect to the hub.

Ah it's a shame the VM one provided isn't good enough. Do you have any recommendations on what modem to get?

You still have to use the hub as a modem but you can change it to modem mode which you can test before getting a router like.

Thanks for the advice.

 

I was told by another advisor that my power levels aren't right so I have an engineer booked. Hopefully that resolves the issue.

Also I can't use the virgin connect or the my virgin apps. Neither will connect to a server when I try open them
