CONSTANT drop outs - Blizzard - WOW

Hi Team,

I too am receiving the same issues as many other Virgin Media customer trying to play any Blizzard game, specifically World of Warcraft in my case. The Virgin Media service has rendered all Blizzard games unplayable...

I have tried everything in from DNS to ports to Windows OS FW, the lot.

Please have this issue fixed otherwise I will need to move to another ISP as this is a breach of contract in terms of expectation of the service delivered....

This is a community forum, most of the advice is from interested amateurs like me, so I'm afraid your chances of VM staff picking this up quickly are very low.  We community helpers are the VM equivalent of the busybodies doing Neighbourhood Watch, or the Last Of The Summer Wine types doing Community Speed Concern.

Your expectations don't form part of the contract, unless you were told by a VM agent or employee, or saw written VM material making a specific promise of fitness for gaming purposes.  Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 information that is spoken or written is binding where the consumer relies on it.  VM record calls, so if there's a question about what was promised verbally over the phone there will be a record.

But before you get all formally-complained-up do you want to post up some hub status data and a BQM?  It's possible this has a simple fix.

Re: CONSTANT drop outs - Blizzard - WOW

Thanks - that why I asked that I need a good connection for gaming and the agent verbally stated, ''it will be perfect for gaming''.

Re: CONSTANT drop outs - Blizzard - WOW

There's a lot of uncorrected errors on the downstream channels, and the T3 errors are concerning too. Something isn't right.  Reboot the Hub and see if they recur.  A BQM plot would be useful too.

I've already pin pointed the problem with Virgin Media, when I use my 4G I don't experience any drops and works perfectly...

The BQM looks OK so far. See what it's like after a day.

Re: CONSTANT drop outs - Blizzard - WOW

Can't be good. Had multiple drop outs playing WOW and then it drops my entire internet connectivity. Shocking service and can't believe this is 2020 internet. Can't even connect to internet now for work and had to resort to 4G. Its simply unacceptable for this to be a paid service.
