Bad packet loss, intermittent connection

Alex80beck
On our wavelength

For the past few weeks i have noticed some packet loss. The last few days this has become much worse. Gaming online, or watching a 1080p video on youtube is impossible without buffering or connection drops.

I have a 1gb connection, super hub 4. My home is hardwired, so i do get the speed of around 800/850mb  to my playstation 5.  But the packet loss is sometimes around 40%.

I started my BQM on sunday at 2pm whilst it was quite bad. It just stopped around 9:45 and everything seemed fine.

Monday i had a small packet loss late at night. But from 10:30am today (tuesday) the high amount has returned. My house has been empty since 6am this morning, so nobody was here online.

A few tests on the line recently have returned these.

Please could someone offer some help as this is becoming a serious issue.

thanks

Alex

Hi @Alex80beck, thank you for your post 😀

We're sorry to hear about the problems you've been experiencing 😔

I've taken a look on our side and can see that you're currently being impacted by a Signal-to-noise ratio outage, which has an estimated fix time of today at 1:35pm.

We'd suggest checking the situation again at that time. If you're continuing to have issues, please pop back to us then.

Regards,
Daniel
