Access Denied to Gaming Sites (PS Store & Steam)

Recently access to; store.playstation.com & store.steampowered.com have been lost

PS StorePS Store

Steam StoreSteam Store

Support over-the-phone were of no assistance. This needs to be fixed asap as it is affecting the households ability to access these sites, and there are likely other sites blocked.

Re: Access Denied to Gaming Sites (PS Store & Steam)

Can't see the images, what is the exact error message, if its a 403 forbidden error then there is nothing VM can do to help you as thats something the server is enforcing

Re: Access Denied to Gaming Sites (PS Store & Steam)

For some reason, all images seem to fail to embed correctly.

The issue comes as a generic message;

Access Denied
You don't have permission to access "http://nnnn.nnnnn" on this server.

Re: Access Denied to Gaming Sites (PS Store & Steam)

that is not a block from vm. its from the site. Looks like cloudflare. when this happens your network might be conpermised with malware

Thanks for the reply.
However, the router has had a factory reset and all devices (phones (android), tablets (iOS), and PC's (Windows) are all getting blocked.

Re: Access Denied to Gaming Sites (PS Store & Steam)

the problem is not the router. its that cloudflare has defected activity on your ip that it doesn't like. it will block you from all services that use cloudflare

Re: Access Denied to Gaming Sites (PS Store & Steam)

So everyone has checked their devices and nothing has any malware. Seeing that Virgin has dynamic IPs that will change every 6 months, is it possible we have been assigned an IP that has been previously blocked by Cloudflare?
Thanks

VM ip addresses do not change every 6 months. They can remain the same for years. Who told you they change every 6 months?

Re: Access Denied to Gaming Sites (PS Store & Steam)

That's what VM help said (on the phone) a few years back when we had a different issue. Now they're saying they change some on a weekly basis. I'm just going to log it to see what is actually going on and if they're correct or the help desk is just spouting nonsense (which has happened before =/).
