4k Gaming on Google Stadia is unplayable using 200mbs service

45mbs download for a 200mbs link?

Stadia reported my connection wasn't able to handle 4k

Is the number of errors on these channels affecting things? I'm guessing so.

For reference, my CCU is wired into a NetGear 1G switch -> Ubiquiti Managed Switch -> USG router -> SuperHub3 in modem mode. For giggles I tried router mode, but that didn't help either.

All my wired and wireless clients cannot get above 45mbs in speed tests and my USG is reporting internet usage of 15% when trying to play on Stadia.

SNR is out of spec on a number of channels.  I'll mark your post for the forum staff to advise and book a technician for you.

The VM engineer arrvied on time and was very friendly and professional. He told me that he had already moved my cable to another port in the external cabinet to see if that helps, but there was no improvement.

After much head scratching he examined the cable from the wall to the router and discovered the exposed core was too long, so this was a problem with the initial installation a few years ago! After he trimmed the core to a more acceptable size, all my SNR values were either 38 or 40 and all other values were in range. It's like a whole new internet connection 🙂

Please to report that gaming on Google Stadia is now flawless on 4K HDR with 5.1 surround sound with my CCU hard wired 🙂 1080p wireless gaming on many devices also works well. Very pleased with the end result so far 🙂
