virgin.net email account not accessible has it been closed down?

I seem to be unable to access my virgin.net account since monday. Has it been closed down or are there known issues. any help to enable me to at least get what was on the system would be helpful. I have had this account active for 15 odd years.
Still got the same issue, no email since monday, spoke to virgin, they said its a talk talk issue, they say it is definitely a VM issue. it says,: We didn't recognise the username or password you entered. Please try again. cant get past that bit wont allow me to change p/w or anything. driving me mad
