then you will need to log in to your account and change your password for the email. Once you have done this you'll need to contact VM to unlock the account. Best to wait here for staff to get to the post it will be less painful than the call center
Thanks for the reply. Yes, I have Virgin broadband, TV and Phone
Ok, so when you sign into your primary Virgin Media broadband account, that is the one you use to check your monthly bills, do you see the virgin.net email address listed under the Virgin Media Mail section of the My profile tab, or does it show under the Manage Accounts tab?
If it doesn't then the email address isn't tied to your current account and is at risk of permanent deletion.
I'm a Very Insightful Person, I'm here to share knowledge, I don't work for Virgin Media, I'm a VM customer. There are no guarantees that my advice will work. Learn more

Thanks for your reply. My virgin.net email is not tied to my Virgin account, but I have been using it for at least 15 years. So I was really miffed when it got closed without warning. Virgin never sent me any sort of communication about TalkTalk or any change over. I fear I may never be able to extract the old files and addresses
