"Checking URL ..." message and email frozen after Zoom

After finishing a Zoom meeting that I have entered from a link in an email message, when I return to my email on Virgin Media Mail, I get a white screen with the message "Checking URL ..." in the top left-hand corner. The only way for me to get into my email account is to switch my iPad off and on again. Does anyone know why this happens and how I can overcome this?

Thanks

Re: "Checking URL ..." message and email frozen after Zoom

Hi there @Mary-M

That is rather odd - does not closing down your emails and reopening them not help? Does it require a full reboot of the device? Does it happen when trying to access the emails on any other devices?

Can you advise if you're using an email client or webmail?

Does it only happen when accessing a Zoom meeting?

Cheers

Re: "Checking URL ..." message and email frozen after Zoom

Thanks Katie

Closing down my emails and reopening them does not help.

The only way to get back into my email is to switch off my iPad and switch it back on again.

I don't know if it happens on other devices as can use Zoom only on my iPad.

I use Virgin webmail.

It only happens with Zoom when I have joined a Zoom meeting from a link on an email.

Thanks again for looking at this.

Mary

Re: "Checking URL ..." message and email frozen after Zoom

Thanks for confirming this, it may be as the Zoom meeting has ended so the link may have been deactivated. Have you confirmed if this is the case with the creator of the Zoom meeting?

Thanks, Emily.
