hacked email

My old NTL email has been hacked and have received email demanding money 

haven't been virgin customer since 2017 and account still gets emails. spent 80min on phone to virgin not confident this email will be closed down very concerned about personal security issues, told fraud department will contact me this is a tecnical issue. seen people have have the same problems. anyone can help??

Sorry to hear there has been issues with a prior email, as it is an old account we'll be able to get this removed.

Did the team advise of a ticket being raised for this?
