deleted email address

i had many problems trying to get into 1 of my emails  

not my main email but 1 of the 9 you can have

so after weeks of not being able to get into this email i had rest the password 13 times and still no access

early hours of the morning and i thought!,  just delete the address and remake it..

i did not need any of the emails inside but i did need to have an email sent to this email address..

i deleted and it would not let me remake the address

so later that morning i rang virgin and was told once the address had been deleted it could not be remade ever again,,,,

after 20 years with virgin this was not the response i was hoping for

i cannot see any reason why i cant just remake that address... it was my address  so i am not stealing anyone's old address

any tech people from virgin here that can help   the phone support was a waste of time

A simple answer. Once an email address has been deleted it has gone for ever.

If the secondary account has been accidentally deleted then it may be recoverable, but that would require a speedy VM intervention.

is this a vm problem   or do all providers not allow an email to be reused

Hi there @yantoinwales

 

Thanks for your patience whilst this was looked into for you. We have received the IT ticket back as as suspected and advised earlier in this thread, the email cannot be recovered or recreated. I can only apologise. 

 

Once the email has been deleted, it cannot be reinstated. It does advise as such when confirming the deletion from within your online account. 

 

I am sorry that there is nothing further we can do for you in regards to your email.
