hi i'm trying to set up an email address for my wife i go to the manage my other virgin accounts and it says it sends an invite to her and to check her junk box if necessary but as she doesn't have the email account when she tries to create an account on her devices it says that virgin media has no password so how is she supposed to check. This is what it says when i try to create an email account for her
1. Enter the email address of the person who you are setting up the account for
2. Hit 'Send invite'
3. An invitation will then be sent to them allowing them to set up their account
Remember, the person you setup an account for will not see any account/billing information.

The process that you outline above is the new process for setting up an additional My Virgin Media account only. Virgin Media no longer allow the creation of Virginmedia.com email addresses.
If your wife needs an email address she will need to create a third party email address such as gmail or Outlook or any of the other free email providers.
