Like others on here I have been inundated with spam emails from 'firstname.lastname@example.org' and even though my spam filter is been set on highest level it wont stop them getting through to my inbox. It is only on my main email address ..........@ntlworld.com ...surely there is a way to stop this ?? It started early Jan 2019 and I get 20 or more a day ...totally fed up with this.
Same here despite me again and again flagging them as spam. I am not the least bit interested in hot Russians or Asians!?! They are grim, verging on porn. Please can virgin media do something about this.
Just posted this in the other thread, too: I'm in the same boat as everyone else here. I've added the address to the filter (both under 'is exactly' and 'contains') and have started adding all the from names, too, but still the emails come - the filter's a joke.
Surely Virgin Media can put their own filter on the address for the customers? No one wants these emails.
So it's okay for them to be aggressive with their spam filter as the option to turn filtering off makes VM "neutral".
I can confirm that these emails were still getting passed by the virgin media system as of this morning. Still stunned as to why my "ow.ly" filter is not working.
---- I do not work for VM, but I would. It is just a Job. Most things I say I make up and sometimes it's useful, don't be mean if it's wrong. I would also make websites for them, because the job never seems to require the website to work.
