contact_@sysprem.com

Like others on here I have been inundated with spam emails from 'contact_@sysprem.com' and even though my spam filter is been set on highest level it wont stop them getting through to my inbox. It is only on my main email address ..........@ntlworld.com ...surely there is  a way to stop this ?? It started early Jan 2019 and I get 20 or more a day ...totally fed up with this.

Re: contact_@sysprem.com

Read this thread:

https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Email/Spam-Email-sysprem-com/td-p/3924528

According to our best information mail from this domain should now be being correctly filtered by VM to your spam folder.

Guidance in the thread for setting up a filter in web mail to do this if needed.

Re: contact_@sysprem.com

You want to send some examples to abuse@amazonaws.com

Don't attach the mails though.  Instead open up the webmail platform and on one of the offending sysprem mails click view Source.

Copy and paste the text in the window that appears into your email. - Their system filters out attachments.  (DUMB but there you go).

That's the source.  However I am asking Virgin Media to look at blocking the offending servers so that the spam doesn't even get to spam boxes, let alone inboxes.

Tim

Re: contact_@sysprem.com

This is happening to me too.

Receiving shed loads of spam from that email address despite doing whatever I can to blacklist and so forth.

It's going into my spam folder but that's not good enough. The sender needs to be blocked at a much higher level by VM.

Re: contact_@sysprem.com

Same here despite me again and again flagging them as spam. I am not the least bit interested in hot Russians or Asians!?!  They are grim, verging on porn. Please can virgin media do something about this.

Re: contact_@sysprem.com

Is called spam for a reason. Nothing VM or anyone can do about it.

Only way to stop spam is to stop using the internet

Re: contact_@sysprem.com

Just posted this in the other thread, too: I'm in the same boat as everyone else here. I've added the address to the filter (both under 'is exactly' and 'contains') and have started adding all the from names, too, but still the emails come - the filter's a joke.

Surely Virgin Media can put their own filter on the address for the customers? No one wants these emails.

Re: contact_@sysprem.com

that is there net neutrality comes in. VM can not block an email for everyone.
They are neutral carriers and should allow all traffic to pass through the network without restriction.

Re: contact_@sysprem.com

Fairly sure you can turn off VM's spam filter.

So it's okay for them to be aggressive with their spam filter as the option to turn filtering off makes VM "neutral".

I can confirm that these emails were still getting passed by the virgin media system as of this morning.  Still stunned as to why my "ow.ly" filter is not working.

I do not work for VM, but I would. It is just a Job.
Most things I say I make up and sometimes it's useful, don't be mean if it's wrong.
I would also make websites for them, because the job never seems to require the website to work.
