blueyonder (and i suspect ntl etc) mail down since last night

password eventually reset via phone as unable to do so via email as repetitively told the password reset request had expired. Email password reset hasn't resolved anything as account appears to be locked. Unsurprisingly person on phone told me account wasn't locked and wanted to get off phone before I could confirm this hadn't resolved my issue. Can't get into webmail either (https://www.virginmedia.com/help/virgin-media-mail-unavailable)

This was a nightmare but finally sorted. Changing password for email over phone didn't work. Using existing gmail account didn't seem to work. Created new gmail account and then changed the default email address for accessing myvirginmedia to the new gmail address. Then verifed that email address. then auto-generated new email password via myvirginmedia and that seemed to do the trick.
