What is happening with the SPAM issue??

Like many I am receiving tonnes of spam purporting to be from McAfee, Norton, Bit-Coin - a situation that appears to be getting worse not better. 

I have seen multiple streams on this - but no response from Virgin Media... are they even aware? 

This is not your average occasional spam, its several a day, every day. 

I am not at all technical, but surely this is a simple customer service issue! Could any from virgin advise if they are even aware that something unusual is happening?

Hi

You could try setting up a filter rule in Settings>Email>Filter Rules, but from previous experience this doesn't always work because of the constant changes to the SPAM senders email address's. I forward all my Virgin emails to a Gmail address which does filter out the SPAM and my phone access's this account then I don't get all the SPAM.

Interesting that gmail can solve the problem but not VM.. 

Filtering is not working - too many email address changes etc.. 

I will take a look at the email forwarding option... I guess the only issue then is that when you reply to a valid email it will come from a gmail acc?

I just log into my Virgin account for replying to emails.
