Virginmedia email locked, virgin mobile account

I have a virgin.net email address which I've had since I signed up for Virgin dial-up internet access (yes, that long ago!)  I have a Virginmedia mobile account (which uses my Virgin.net email address as ID) but my email account seems to have been locked or even deleted in the last few days.  Is there anything I can do to get it back? The email password reset seems to want a virginmedia account number, but I don't have one, just a virgin mobile account number.

The use of a Virgin Media email address requires a current VM broadband account.
