Hi My wife's email(virgin.net has been hacked) we can't seem to change password? I am a current VMcustomer. My v.net email got orphaned ages ago and I have given up/lost hope of retrieving the password. I have now fully moved over to a new me.com email, but my wife has carried on using her v.net email and has been hacked, and threatened with blackmail. We need to change the email passowrd, she is very stressed about this. We have set up new Gmail account for her and are currently trying to send over any old email so that server. Any help gratefully recieved thank you.

Hey seandodwell1, thanks for posting on our help forum.

We're sorry to hear of this issue with your wife's email account being hacked recently, we'd be eager to assist further with this.
Does the email belong to the same account you've had with us or other?
Also, could you please tell us if you've tried to change the email password for this account to a brand new and secure password that has not been used previously (so to ensure your account remains secure)?
Lastly, our passwords should meet certain requirements such us a minimum of 8 characters, combining letters and numbers (upper case and lower case) as well as avoiding easy words and number sequences like 123 etc., let us know what's the error you're getting when trying to log in and we will advise based on your feedback.

Hi, yes we set these up at the same time so it's - I think - attached to the same account. No it' snot been changed with I think is the issue, same password as it was when set up!!

We can log in but we want to change the password. So how do we go about that?

Hi @seandodwell1,

Thank you for expanding on this. If you log into your My Virgin Media online account which the email address in question is linked to, you'll be able to change the password from there.

If you continue to face issues then let us know and we can go from there with this.

Sorry I have logged into removed but can't see anywhere that ists our virgin.net emails??

There doesnt seem to be anything in the "Settings" pane.
