Like so many others I see, my Virgin.net mailbox is closed. In Jan/Feb this year I became aware for the first time that I had been using my Virgin.net email erroneously for some years as Virgin had decided some years ago to close them if you weren't a Virgin customer. Since then I have tried to transfer my data to another email account but I found I couldn't back up my folders nor copy them over to another account. So Virgin had made it very difficult to move out. Like many I have had my account since the 1990's and have an enormous amount of data to transfer.
As there appear to be quite a few of us in the predicament, is there no way Virgin Media would allow us say 3 months to try and salvage some of our data and then close our accounts. Is there someone I could contact to request this?
Or is there a way to get my mailbox open again?
