Virgin.Net Email stopped working Wednesday 29th June @4pm

My email account appears to have stopped working. I can still sign into Virgin Media with the username and password but the email server will not allow. I can send email to the address and it doesn't bounce so I have no idea

What error message, if any, do you get when signing in to the email account here:

Is the Virgin net email address concerned attached to your current VM broadband account?

If you follow the instructions set out in the message that have posted a screen shot of you should be able to unlock the account.  Wait an hour after changing the password before trying to access it again.

If that doesn't work then post back here answering the question regarding the account being linked to your current VM broadband account.

I’ve tried that. My memorable place appears not to be that memorable (it’s the one I always use). No joy. Thanks for the help though. I’m an IT consultant by day. Can’t fix this though it’s out of my scope

@JasonPFenwick I note that you haven't answered the question regarding the account status. A Virgin.net email address suggests that you have used this address for some years, perhaps since dial up days.

If the account is orphaned then the chances of you regaining access are slim.

Edited to add; in the case of old accounts entering the security answer in all Upper case or all lower case letters has been known to work.

Thanks for the reply Graham. I appreciate that it may well be binned as of 4pm on Wednesday. I can’t get any sense from anyone at “virgin” so I will have to suck it up I guess.

The account is still locked/unavailable I'm afraid.

It does look as though I will need to write it off as I'm unable to get any real answers.

I can login to the account with the correct credentials so I know it's not a password issue.

Hi Jason,

Thank you for reaching back out and fore the update, we can have a fur ether look for you and can sometimes reset this for you which would allow you to get in and at least set a forward up to another email address, so I can investigate this for you I will send you an invite into a private chat, once received please click on the purple envelope to accept.
