Virgin Media (ntlworld.com) emails stopped syncing to Samsung S8+ mobile
My two virginmedia emails (ntlworld addresses) both stopped syncing with the default email app on my Samsung S8+ earlier this evening. Very suspiciously they both say last synced at the very precise time of 19:00 (~4.5 hours ago). I can neither receive nor send emails from the Samsung email app for those two ntlworld email accounts.
I've changed nothing in settings & two other non VM email accounts continue to sync fine on the same email app. I can see emails received later than 19:00 if I login directly into VM webmail on a browser, but I don't understand why they suddenly stopped syncing to the mobile email app (which is my preferred environment in which to read and send emails).

Same here, me and my wife, from about 16.00 yesterday. It is a mobile device connection issue trying to authenticate connection to Virgin as we can not connect using either Samsung email app or Gmail on Samsung mobiles or using the email facility on Kindle Fire.
However I can connect using Thunderbird on a PC so it is not a general third party email problem but is just seems to be confined to mobile devices.
The Aqua Mail app I use gives this error message -
"Error checking mail. Invalid security (SSL) certificate. Java.security.cert.CertPathValidatorException. Trust anchor for certification path not found."
If I enter the settings for each account, but only click save or next without changing anything - this temporarily fixed the problem for me yesterday. However, I ended up with the same problem on 3 different android devices again this morning. Had to go through the process mentioned above on all devices for all ntlworld / Virgin accounts 😕😠
