Very confused re email Sat 1st July '23

VM site urged me to change password yesterday to try and combat issues but neither work. I phoned tech and was told they hoped to get things back p by late evening Friday. Today found webmail now back on Android this morning, BUT no webmail connection on laptop or tablet. My Office Outlook is stuck on Friday morning and if I try to send or receive I get a request to enter/confirm password. Neither the old one nor the VM-confirmed new one work.

Sorry to hear of the email account issues experienced, we understand the frustration and appreciate you taking the time to raise this via the forums.

 

When resetting the password, did you follow these steps?

 

  • Sign in to My Virgin Media
  • Go to Account settings, then Account details
  • Tap Manage next to Manage your Virgin Media Mail app password under Virgin Media Mail
  • Then, under Virgin Media Mail app password tap Get password
  • Continue the flow and a new secure password will be generated, and the mailbox unlocked
  • Update any third-party apps that may be use to access your Virgin Media Mail emails with this new app password.
