Verification Email Issue

I wanted to change the password on my Virgin Media account.  It told me I had to change the email address associated with the account to one from a third party.  I provided a new email address, I received the verification email and clicked on the verification link in the email.

However the verification hasn't been recognised so now if I try to change the email address it says that a verification has already been sent, the link in the email address has expired and so now I'm stuck and can't see anyway to progress this problem.

Found this work around that seems to have worked:

A workaround for this issue is to:

  • submit a different Sign in Email Address
    For example, test@example.com —in this case there is no server running for the message to be delivered to, i.e. mail delivery fails and is returned to sender.
  • then immediately resubmit the original Sign in Email Address and this time keep the page open until you receive the verification link email
