Do Virgin Media ever disclose to you what the nature of the suspicious activity is?

No they have never said what it was I spoke to someone this morning at VM didn’t get his name who agreed that iOS devices don’t get suspicious activity He says that he is contacting the security team to stop doing this I have recently been receiving filthy emails from Russia but I delete them immediately I don’t know if it’s anything to do with that. I know I can blacklist them on VM but I get a message saying the blacklist cap is full and I should delete some. What good is that if these ones start to send emails againVM security is useless Would I be better deleting these emails on the VM server rather than my email client

Default email setup on iOS is to use IMAP and as a consequence changes are reflected to and from the server, i.e. there is no need to use another client to remove deleted emails.
The objectionable spam emails are unlikely to be the cause of the suspicious activity.
It would be surprising if the security team suppress suspension if their systems are reporting suspicious activity; be aware the suspicious activity may not be due to your activities and/or devices ― hopefully the security team will clarify what the cause is soon.

Hi Paulina
in the last month I’ve been receiving filthy emails from gmail users, Russia, Brazil and Italy I’m wondering if this is what internet security is about They have never said what the suspicious activity is supposed to be. I was able to get my mail unblocked I then couldn’t send emails and spent 45 minutes on the phone with Virgin Media to get this resolved I was transferred about 3 times to different people one of them actually agreed that iOS devices do not get suspicious activity on them This is from Apple I didn’t get his name but he told me that he was going to send an email to internet security to stop locking my mailbox But I won’t hold my breath
in the past month I have had to change my email password 8 times which is extremely annoying
I know there is a blacklist on VM but mine is full and VM’s answer to it is to delete some to free up space But then these deleted email addresses could start spamming me again
I have now started deleting the filthy emails on the virgin server in the hope that this will stop this happening
I really wish VM had better filters for spam as gmail accounts do
the form from the link you sent appears to be only for spam emails from virgin emails

Hi liz30538,
Thank you for reaching out to mus in our community and welcome back, sorry to hear you have still been receiving unwanted Emails and haven't been able to stop them all with the available filters, we do appreciate your frustration, we can see you changed the password, we also advise running a Virus scan on all devices and then change the password, use something totally different to previous ones.
Regards
Paul.

Hi
i have already changed my password 8 times this month which I shouldn’t have had to do Apple have told me that there is nothing that can scan an ios device as iOS devices do not get malewear It would be helpful if the internet security team would tell you what the suspicious activity is instead of just locking my email account I no longer have any faith in virgin media

Have your actually been able to change your password using the VM window?
I'd be very interested of you can't add no matter what I do, I can't. I am my security answers and sod all happens. I've had it confirmed the answers are correct.
So why can't I change it?

Yes I’ve been able to change it 8 times this month which I shouldn’t have had to do It’s so frustrating
