I have received an authentic email notification from VM informing me that my email account has been suspended 'due to suspicious activity being detected'. On inspecting the account, I see that I have received a malicious email claiming that my blueyonder email account has been hacked and quoting my VM password. This is obviously a serious situation and I have followed VM advice to change my password and run (two different) Malware apps, with negative results.
It looks like there has been a serious breach of security at Virgin Media, unless someone can explain how else the hacker might have got hold of my password. I do not keep any passwords on my computer.
A quick response from VM would be appreciated. Thanks.
