Unexpected emails from webteam@virginmedia.com

I've received a number of emails into my non Virgin email account such as the one attached over the last 4 weeks suggesting I have set up someone with an account, which I haven't.

I have not used my virginmedia email account for years as I had moved on email wise and I would like to deal with the below preferably by decommissioning the virgin email account or giving it  a new name. HOw can I go about doing this please.

Re: Unexpected emails from webteam@virginmedia.com

You can't decommission a primary email entirely.

What you need to do however is log in to my.virginmedia.com immediately, as your primary email is initially the username you use to access all virgin media services.  So you need to change your password and remove any email accounts that have been added to your account by going into profile - manage accounts.
