The VM305 error message is unambiguous. It means that VM refuse to relay (send) your e-mail because they have noticed that your home IP is on Spamhaus's SBLCSS List - IP detected as sending low level (snowshoe) spam. It can mean nothing else. Until you clear the infection then you will remain unable to send e-mail.
Thanks for the info. My IP did indead show up as blocked.
Wireshark shows no activity in my house on port 465.
Unless you're sending a mail I wouldn't expect it to. You should be checking port 25 instead. This is because your IP is attemting to deliver mail to inbound mail exchanges directly on port 25.
I have requested a unblock, and have updated my VM email password.
The thing is, until you identify the source of the traffic setting off the CSS blacklisting, all that will happen is that you'll be listed again.
Just waiting now to see what happens.
Please note that if you are running Hola Free VPN on any device on your network, you should remove it. A number of users have reported spam traffic coming via that route and I did my own testing and confirmed this myself.

Because the phone team are great provided you have a standard problem. Sadly they're technically challenged otherwise..
The new Forum Team are coming along nicely but one of the main benefits of the Forum is that there are people who volunteer their time who have a strong IT background and give their time to help users fox their issues. The Forum Team then picks up issues that need escalating.
