Unable to send emails VM303

A couple of weeks ago my account was hacked and a forwarding rule was put on. This has since been removed and I have changed password several times since.

Today, both emails on the account are unable to send emails with the above error code.

Can't connect to server Authentication Denied.

Have called VM and they were no help with this problem.

Please help?

That is a very specific error message that means your account has been locked in one of the backend databases (Account Locked (Status is LO in ldap)).

The VM Forum Team will need to refer this to their IT colleagues. It may take them a day or so to reach this thread but they will respond here when they do.

Sorry to hear that this has happened to your mailbox and for the problems after that @Simon_F.

 

I have been able to locate your account and can see that your email addresses are still locked from the issues that you've had with hacking. I have reported this to our IT team, to have your email addresses unlocked.

 

I will be in touch once the team come back to me but they may not come till Monday morning.

We still cannot send emails. Please could you chase IT with this, as we are becoming increasingly disillusioned with Virgin and are considering leaving.

Sorry for the delay in response Simon, I have chased this with our IT team and they have said that your email address has now been unlocked. I have also un-enabled and re-enabled your mailbox to see if this can help.

 

Please could you give it a try now and let me know if it has helped at all to get you back into your mailbox.
