Unable to login at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password.

Hi. I am trying to access my existing blueyonder email account via Thunderbird on a newly acquired computer but I keep getting the following message. "Unable to login at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password". The strange thing is I have no problems accessing my emails on my existing old computer and, as far as I can tell, I am using the exact same settings on each machine.

I have spent many hours trying various solutions I came across on the Web but none of them have worked for me.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Try setting the account up again and when you see the:

select Configure manually…, then Advanced config, and OK. Does IMAP work and SMTP fail or do both fail?

Hi,
Many thanks.
I tried several other "solutions" but yours was the one that worked.
Thanks again.
