I am trying to login to my virgin email via Mozilla Thunderbird. I get this message: "sending of password did not succeed. Mail server pop3.virginmedia.com responded: Authentication failed."
I have not changed my password. I am able to get the emails from my Samsung phone.
I can send emails but I am unable to receive emails.
Can anyone help please
Also, on your Thunderbird settings, you've possibly got a user name that reads something like recent:joe.soap@ blueyonder.co.uk, if that applies remove the "recent:"
VM changed some bits behind the scenes and forgot to tell affected users.

Thank you for your help. Removing 'recent' from the username solved the problem
