Sudden rush of SPAM

over the last couple of days my ntlworld inbox has been invaded by a lot of SPAM telling me that my anti virus, macafee or other security is due to expire. I do not have these products and the sender email address is all wrong so I have been marking them as SPAM and blocking the sender but I do wonder if the VM filter needs looking at?

Re: Sudden rush of SPAM

Thanks for your post and apologies for the delayed response, petersladdie,

Have you tried using our spam setting here https://www.virginmedia.com/help/virgin-media-mail-email-spam-settings

Or using filter options for keywords?

Cheers,

Corey C

Re: Sudden rush of SPAM

Exactly how do you set up a filter option for keywords please, separating them properly? I have tried to filter out mail with 'Renewal_Notice''Prize' in the heading and these spam mails still appear in the Inbox. What am I doing wrong? I have tried to follow advice elsewhere on the Forum but no success yet.

Re: Sudden rush of SPAM

Look up "My spam solution". It is working fine as others confirm.

Re: Sudden rush of SPAM

Thank you DaveW96. like you I was getting fed up of applying single filters using the regex condition. I deleted all the ones I had and replaced them with yours and it has worked.3 were caught within an hour of me setting it up.
